Number 9 – Fox
We all are familiar with this medium-sized omnivorous mammal. These creatures lead adaptable lifestyles and are quite sociable. They inhabit a variety of terrains and may be found all over the world, including North America, Asia, Europe, and North Africa.
The majority of foxes are about the size of average dogs. Foxes are quite light since they are tiny animals. They weigh normally between 700 gm to 10 kg. The fennec fox, which cannot grow larger than a cat, is the smallest and probably the cutest living fox. They grow about 25 cm in height and weigh around 1.5 kg.
The fennec foxes have relatively larger ears compared to their tiny faces. These nocturnal foxes spend the daytime in their sand tunnels hiding from the heat. The warmth of their thick fur protects them from the chilly desert evenings.
