3. Anjana the Chimpanzee and Tiger Cubs
Chimp Anjana became the doting surrogate parent to two abandoned tiger cubs named Mitra and Shiva. The baby tigers were separated from their mother after a hurricane, so the ape sanctuary had Anjana care for them.
Instantly falling in love, Anjana fed them bottles and tended to the cubs as if they were her own chimp babies! For months she cared for, cuddled, and protected the little tigers.
But sadly, as they grew bigger, it became too dangerous for Anjana to be around her adopted tiger children. Still, it was amazing to see the motherly bond Anjana shared with the cubs.
